August Course Update

Brighton Golf Course is currently providing a great playing surface for all golfers, with the course’s sandy base holding up exceptionally well in the wet winter conditions. Importantly the course has stayed healthy and avoided disease and any significant issues over winter, that is always a challenge.

Winter has provided time for staff to work on projects around the course and between enforced lockdowns have been extremely busy! New paths on the 10th and 13th tee areas, with a staircase also being built on the 11th tee. The renovated 1st and 12th tee’s are also progressing well and will be open to players in around 4-6 weeks as the roots continue to establish in the surface.

We have also had plenty of positive feedback on the new firepit in the 1st & 10th, keeping golfers hands warm prior to teeing off.

Much loved pro-shop staff member Richard Webb who has worked at Brighton for 23 years recently commented that the course is currently, without a doubt in the best condition he ever has seen it. Extremely high praise that should encourage golfers to book a round and see for themselves.

Happy golfing!
